The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) intends to issue an award on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)) to 3DR, 1608 4th Street Suite 410, Berkeley, CA 94710 to provide 15 H520G UAS systems that have unique capabilities that will fulfill the requirements for the USACE HQ Aviation and Remote Systems Program in support of Civil Works missions for the Corps of Engineers. Specific characteristics of the 3DR H520G UAS that limit the availability to a sole source is final assembly is in the US under TAA guidelines, based on open source DroneCode, PX4 autopilot software, and rates best-in-class data security for US government agencies. These systems includes the complete Site Scan platform integrated with a custom version of the DroneCode-based 3DR H520G sUAS. System includes both the ground control station for operations as well as the data processing software needed to create end products for users/customers. This is the only system with the required specifications that are approved for operation on military installations.

The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 336411 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same or similar supply. All capability statements received by the closing date of this publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
