This is a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) to determine availability of qualified contractors to support the C-17 Training Systems (TS) beginning in 2021 with the potential of a period of performance of up to 10 years. This is not a request for proposal (RFP) or solicitation of offers of any kind.  Any costs incurred pursuant to receipt, review or response to this SSS is entirely the responsibility of the responding firm/entity.  The Government will not reimburse any firm for costs they may incur in relation to or arising from this SSS.  Only non-classified information shall be provided in your response.  The Government may reproduce copies of submitted information as necessary to facilitate its review thereof.
Additionally, this SSS will help the Government determine the availability of commercial items, as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 2.101-Definitions and the availability of Small Businesses capable of satisfying the Government's requirements at fair and reasonable prices.   This information will help the Government devise an appropriate acquisition strategy relative to degree of competition, set-asides, etc.

Pertinent details including program description, task and services to be performed, and submission details are included in the attachments to this SSS.

Note:  This SSS includes Attachment 9 - Device List, and Attachment 41 - International Partners, which are essentially the same as Attachments 9 and 41 to the current C-17 Task Order (TO) FA8321-18-F-6257.  However, these are the only attachments from the TO included in this SSS.

The e-mail address in Part IV of the first attachment, C17TS-SSS-19-0001 is changed to read vs.
