The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, Maryland in support of the US Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) is issuing this solicitation to procure a system upgrade to the existing Zeiss SIGMA VP-40 Scanning Electron Microscope to include: PC Upgrade Kit (includes enhanced PC), Image Maths Software, 3D Surface Modeling, Image Stitching Kit, Stage Registration Software, Compatable system monitors, and Installation. USAMRAA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.501) with Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC, One Carl Zeiss Drive, Thornwood, NY 10594. Request for Information (RFI) W81XWH-19-0-2512 was posted on from 09 August 2019 to 13 August 2019 with no responses received. An Intent to Sole Source Notice was posted on from 30 August 2019 to 14 September 2019 with no responses received. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 333314 with a size standard of 500 employees.
